About Fluoropolymer Finishes

Kolbe’s aluminum-clad windows and doors are available in a range of high-performance exterior finishes designed for exceptional durability, chemical resistance, abrasion, corrosion protection, and long-term weathering performance. In addition to the standard palette, custom colors can be specified, as well as Anodized aluminum and Mica fluoropolymer finishes.

About Interior Stain

Kolbe products can be finished on the interior with a water-based, low-VOC stain. After staining, a clear coat is applied, the surface is sanded, and a second clear coat is applied. Custom colors may be requested as well.

About Extruded Aluminum Cladding

A durable exterior helps safeguard the beauty of windows and doors, and helps prevent damage during harsh weather. This product has durable cladding of 6063 extruded aluminum alloy that is press-fit onto the exterior of the wood. Accessory grooves are integral to the frame exterior, which allows for factory or job site installation of extruded aluminum casing, sill nosing, and other exterior trim.

About Sliding Patio Door Sills

Sliding patio doors have one-piece, pultruded fiberglass sills with continuous aluminum sill nosing, fiberglass sill fillers, and thick oak interior thresholds.

In many cases, doors can meet needs for easier access simply by requesting certain specifications, such as wider panel sizes which create wider openings.
