About Fluoropolymer Finishes

Kolbe’s aluminum-clad windows and doors are available in a range of high-performance exterior finishes designed for exceptional durability, chemical resistance, abrasion, corrosion protection, and long-term weathering performance. In addition to the standard palette, custom colors can be specified, as well as Anodized aluminum and Mica fluoropolymer finishes.

Double Clear Coat

About Interior Stain

Kolbe products can be finished on the interior with a water-based, low-VOC stain. After staining, a clear coat is applied, the surface is sanded, and a second clear coat is applied. Custom colors may be requested as well.

Extruded Aluminum Cladding

About Extruded Aluminum Cladding

A durable exterior helps safeguard the beauty of windows and doors, and helps prevent damage during harsh weather. This product has durable cladding of 6063 extruded aluminum alloy. Two exterior profiles are available for most VistaLuxe products — Flush Style and Accent Style — for just the right look.

About Performance Glass

Square Performance Divided Lites

(5/8")

About Performance Divided Lites

With Kolbe's performance divided lite (PDL) system, bars are adhered on the interior and exterior of an insulating glass unit and bars are aligned within the unit. The internal bars do not hinder the flow of air or argon, so the space acts as a thermal break, making PDL more energy efficient than true divided lites.

VistaLuxe Collection PDL bars have a square profile by default, and are available in many widths and patterns. Plus, 7/8" wide triangular profile PDL bars are available on the interior of most VistaLuxe Collection products to replicate the look of steel windows.

Bars are finished to match the exterior and/or interior, as requested.

Notes

Exterior PDL bars are not available with a triangular profile.

Triangular PDL bars are not available for triple pane glass units, sliding windows, or 1-3/4" thick doors.

Door sills are available for VistaLuxe Collection inswing and outswing doors with either a Bronze Anodized or Clear Anodized finish.

Hardware & Operation

Dallas Handles

(Satin Nickel*)

About American Style Handles

These handle sets include multi-point locking hardware with weather-resistant, stainless steel operator parts and hardware channels. The American style hardware situates the locking cylinder above the handle where it operates independently of the multi-point extensions. This allows for quick locking without the need of a particular locking sequence and, when employed on French doors, prevents the secondary panel from being opened before the first.

Keyed handle sets are also available. Choose from a variety of attractive finishes to coordinate with interior décor.

Notes

* Hoppe’s Resista® finishes are available on select handle sets to help protect the surface from tarnishing, peeling and cracking, also is recommended for coastal applications.

⁂Oil-rubbed is a living finish that will change appearance with time and use.

**Matte Black/Brushed Gold on Dallas handles is the only two-tone finish available.
